The Challenge Red-Fish is a mandatory meet for all athletes of our senior group with intentions to race at Short Course Nationals at the end of the month of November. We will have our intra-squad meet in the afternoon. Warm-up starts at 4pm and the races start at 5pm. If you have any questions, please get in touch with our coaches. The senior team will have their regular workout in the morning and a parents meeting is planned for after the conclusion of the meet in the evening around 8.15pm.
I had the honor to meet Alex a couple times over the past year while the USA Open Water team spent some time training in the Florida Keys. Alex is the first USA swimmer to qualify for the 2012 London Olympics with his top 10 finish in the 10km at the recent Open Water World Championships. This week I started working with Mike Aigroz, world class Swiss triathlete and Ironman athlete. He’s getting ready to leave for Hawaii in about 10 days to get ready for the big show. He has been doing his swim training with Vevey Natation for a while now but never really asked for specific help. He approached me last week, asking if I were interested in helping him with his swimming before his departure for Hawaii.
