Lately, I have been asked quite a bit about the importance of protein in ones diet. I did some research to complement what I already knew and thought I post a quick note about my findings. There are two different types of protein to improve performance, whey and soy. Whey protein is absorbed quickly to satisfy immediate nutritional needs while soy protein absorbs at a slower rate for sustained benefits.
B vitamins help break down proteins and fat for energy and lean muscle nourishment. They are also essential for metabolism in nearly every cell in the body, from the brain to the muscular system. A wide variety of minerals are also required for functions such as maintaining healthy bones, nervous system support and muscle contractions.
To sum it up, yes, proteins are important for your diet but if your a high performance athlete you’ll have to rely on multiple and most important clean supplements.
